WorkShops and Classes

Body and Mind Self Defense instructs women on how to protect themselves by providing safety skills and practical techniques that can be executed by anyone. Our goal is to empower women to feel confident as they go out into their communities. 

​

Group Classes/ Workshops

2 hours

This two-hour workshop provides a mixture of situational awareness and hands on practical self-defense techniques. The techniques include how to escape grabs, holds, and how to use strike and kicks. Price per person. Minimum of 6 participants.

Four Week Course

1 hr. per week for a 4-week session

This four-week course provides more in-depth self-defense techniques which builds upon the previous week. Participants will develop tools and safety techniques to avoid and escape dangerous situations. Price is per person. Minimum of 6 participants.

Self-Defense Party 

1 hr. 30 min.

Looking for a reason to get together for a girls’ night out? Consider hosting a women’s self-defense party. A Women’s Self-Defense party is a unique way to have a great time with friends and family but at the same time provide potentially life-saving skills. The parties are fun, active and informative. It’s also a great way to learn self-defense while in a comfortable environment. The parties are perfect for birthday and bachelorette celebrations, or for just a group of friends who want to get together. Price $20 per person with a minimum of 8 participants.

Punch for Lunch

1 hour

We offer corporate and business workshops. It's a great opportunity to mix it up at meetings, increase employee morale, decrease stress, team build and even increase productivity. The class is one hour but can be catered to the needs of the group. Price is per session.

 

High School and College Prep Workshop

Prepare for more than just mid-terms and finals. 

This self-defense training class focuses on situational awareness, drug assisted assault, and realistic physical techniques to defend against sexual assault. The course covers prevention, risk reduction and avoidance with an emphasis on the basics of hands-on defense training. During the two-hour class, participants will learn blocking, striking, kicking, escaping from wrist grabs and bear hugs, and ground defense. Call for more information and to schedule a class for your school. 

 

Body and Mind Self Defense can come to your location or hold the training at a facility that we secure for you. Classes can be customized to fit your needs.
